See you somewhere!!
Hello from another West Country person!
I started to dance in Bristol just under two years ago and then made forrays into the unknown territories such as Cardiff (there's lovely! ) and London. Have been known to drop into Oxford and also Yeovil.
Will be competing at Blackpool this year in the intermediates, which I am viewing with wonder (why am I doing this?) nerves(must the artistic temprament!) and pleasure (obviously a sadist!).
Have tried Tango and a bit of Salsa and love it, but Le Roc seems to have taken me over.
Best moment dancing was plucking up the courage to ask Amir to dance when I had only been dancing a year - bless, he accepted! Worst - see my comment on 'The Sleeze thing!'.
See you somewhere!!

Hi there - I'm Fiona, and I have been going to Ceroc classes for about five weeks.
At this point I'd like to say a big thank you to the Taxi dancers at Glasgow, Wendy and Stuart, for all their help and encouragement - especially to Stuart for doing all those moves that I don't expect!
I am really enjoying it so far and even ventured into my first intermediate class last night, which was fun! I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it, but a limited number of moves coupled with an uncertainty of what is coming next means I look very awkward at times!
I also went to the party night in Glasgow on Saturday night and had an excellent time. I was really great to go on a night out where I get to dance the night away and don't go home stinking of smoke! (I'm not your average student, in case you haven't guessed!)
Anyway, I'm having a great time and thanks to all the guys who have danced with me thus far. To who haven't yet had the pleasure, be warned - I am not shy about asking a guy to dance!
See you all soon, Foofs.
Thanks, Fiona! Sometimes I'm not expecting them either...Originally posted by Foofs

If you're the lady I was dancing with last night (apologies, I'm hopeless with names) you're doing well, excellent at following already after only a few weeks.
In fact there are quite a few promising dancers starting at Jumpin' Jaks at the moment, both male and female.
Ah. Can't have danced with me thenOriginally posted by Foofs

Good to hear that you're enjoying it, and that you're getting such good help from the taxi-dancers....

Hi I'm lainey. I've only been dancing for 6 weeks but lovin it. Missed the dance on Saturday but will definately be going to the next one. Thanks to Wendy and Stuart for stopping me looking like a complete idiot. I seem to be picking up the moves now and am even debating about moving up to the intermediate class so watch out guys and be gentle with me

Thanks for calling me a "lady"! Yes you did dance with me on Tuesday, but then you dance with lots of 'ladies'!!!
(apologies, I'm hopeless with names)
So am I - I only know yours because we are told it every week!
Thanks again everyone. Hope to dance with you soon,
Fiona.

Been to a few Victor workshops at Hove last year and danced in the DWAS at Blackpool this year. Out 1st round!
Blackpool was a great experience and I am looking forward to the Ceroc Champs in May.
Been to Camber 4 times and Warmwell once.
Hoping to go to Southport in May.

Great! We'll see you at Southport then. I'm arranging a Forumite meeting on the Friday evening, so watch out for the thread a bit nearer the time and you can come along and meet some of us! Welcome to the forum Paul.Originally posted by under par

........what ??????
In edinburgh they have a "thing" that gets fired at one o'clock from the castle so when I saw the person's name I guessed they were from edinburgh - but I thought it was a cannon type thing, not a gun....Originally posted by Bill
