Congratulation
I'm so very very happy for you both.
I will be at Breeze with my tissuse at the ready, i'm sure i will be blarting.
Your a lovely couple and you give hope to the rest of us, singletons.
David and Val are getting married!!!!
After 5 glorious years together Val and I have finally decided to tie the knot. During that time our relationship with dance and the dance community has been the source of constant joy - in fact, in some of the more difficult times it was the only thing that sustained us and gave us optimism.
Marriage has always been in the back of our minds but as our circle of friends continued to expand it became apparent to us that the logistics and financial implications of organizing such an event would be more than a little challenging: And then it dawned on us - why not get married at a dance weekender?!? Tor and Andy had done this at Beach Boogie one year and the more we thought about it the more sense it made. About 70% of our friends are dancers so could attend and enjoy the whole event and not just the ceremony, whilst the non dancers could still have a great weekend away and participate in the other events as much or as little as they wanted to.
It's all happening at 'Breeze' - Brean Sands on the 12th-14th October. The logistics still have to be sorted but what I can tell you is that the 'ceremony' and blessing will be a little out of the ordinary....
We will give out more details as they become available and as regards presents and gifts, it's easy - we don't want any. We have each other and everything else we need, so we will be setting up a link to Cancer Research for donations - again, details to follow shortly.
I can't begin to tell you how happy we are about all of this and would love it if as many of you could attend as possible - It's for all our friends that we know and for those friends we have yet to meet. It doesn't matter to us how you dance, where you dance or what you dance, let's just make it a massive party to remember!
David & Val. xx

WOW! Congratulations. Thats fantastic news!
A unique wedding for a unique couple.
I can imagine it now. Boogie Tonight as Val walks ( shimmies) up to the groom. Silverfox in his silver bridesmaid dress. No hymns just everyone singing along to Justins, Senorita. Lots and lots and lots of champagne flowing!
I'm glad I booked my place, cos now it'll sell out! Good Marketing!
