    Forum Badges

I'm not sure if this has been suggested before and apologies if it has.

I really struggle to work who everyone is. I think some others do too. T-shirts at the forum gathering on weekenders are great but people only wear them for a short time.

How about badges as an alternative? Badges could worn at freestyles and all weekend much more easily.

If so does anybody have any ideas or know where to get a kit to make them?

    Re: Forum Badges

Badges have been suggested before – and they even happened at a few events in the past.

The problem is getting people to want to wear them. Especially once you know a fair number of forum people, where's the motivation to wear a badge that could be ruining your clothes and making you look weird?

I bought Silver Fox a badge with 'Foxy' on it he wore it on a lovely 'T' shirt at Hammersmith, he came over at the end of the night to show me it had been ripped off and there was a unreaparaible big hole. I don't think it s a good idea.

What about a wristband, either like the ones that are worn at weekenders or the rubber type used for promoting charities.........wouldn't ruin your clothes and can be easily spotted.

If they were more like the rubber charity ones, you wouldn't even know that you were wearing one, and yes you wouldn't know who they are. but by the fact they are bothering to wear one means that they are up for an introduction to other forumites

    Re: Forum Badges

Another option is to change your forum name to reflect your physical characteristics - so it becomes easier (for those people who don't have/don;t want photos).

Some people already do it - and for example 'Silver Fox' is quite easy - you just look for the guy with silver hair who looks a bit 'foxy'.

Of course it becomes a bit trickier if people share the same characteristics - so you might end up with 'Busty Babe 1', 'Busty Babe 2' etc.

(Last night incidentally, Ant found me - just by way of me telling hime I was the tall blond guy: he asked a woman (non-forumite) - and she immediately pointed me out). Btw nice to meet you Ant!
