I wonder if it does any of these many things well?
I'm not convinced yet by these devices, though some of my more geeky friends think they're the business!
Oh my god I'm at it again...... I promise its the last time I enter Geeks Corner this year I have my reputation to protect.

What is the percieved wisdom in Geeks Corner about these articles... seem very techy and dare I say geeky but what are the pros and cons?
I wonder if it does any of these many things well?

Do you need most or any of those things?
If so, do you need them in a converged device - i.e. are you willing to put up with the inconvenience of lugging it around, for the convenience of having those functions on tap?
Some convergence works very well - camera / video on phones for example.
Some convergence sort of works - blackberry, PDA, that sort of thing.
Some doesn't work at all - like those watchphones from a couple of years back.
It's like anything - don't buy it because of all the shiny features, buy it if you need it.
Can anyone provide a link to a model feature (a model of this device that is )
I tend to buy things purely because they have lots of features - whether I need them or not
heres one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1
or o2 web site https://shop.o2.co.uk/phone/O2/XDA_Exec
Awww.... it's soooooooo cute!
Ignore DJ. Buy it if you want it!
This particular one is very large / heavy for a phone and is getting a little dated.
One issue with these converged devices is that lots of information can be placed on them, which can then be quite vulnerable, because the device is used for all sorts of functions.
From the device point of view here is a more recent device with a very similar feature list.

This is smaller / lighter and supports higher speed data, but doesn' t have such a high screen resolution.
