Yep, you could say the same about all teaching, with regards to small vs. large classes.
Get 50 people there at £5 per pop, and you're making far more money than you would teaching 10 people. Even though no-one can "teach" 50 people, you can only show them a routine and give them some technique tips.

Personally, I like giving private lessons, because I can work on a person or couple and see them improve significantly in a short time. But yes, commercially, privates don't pay as well per hour as group lessons. Although privates don't need much organisation to set up either.
