Aw crap.
Shouldn't have watched that in this mood.
Well done Twirly, you've had me blushing and crying at work in less than 1/2 hour.
If I hugged anyone round here they'd probably be very scared!
CJ will be doing it in London. There will be other people doing other cities at the same time.
CJ I'll ask around here and see if I can't get some more Aberdeen people involved too.
Happy to do it myself but would be easier in a small crowd.
Gadget, Freya? you up for this??
Aw crap.

lol - seems to be my day to embarrass you. Well get yourself up to London on the 28th and join the huggers here!
CJ - am thinking that I will probably join you. Feel a little apprehensive though. Not sure about doing if for that whole time period, but could come along maybe and see how it goes. Would need to know there are plenty of people around though - think this is a bit different for women to do it than men. Makes me feel a little vulnerable...
I'm happy to do Edinburgh, if anyone else wants to join me.
Well, I'm hoping to be in a musicality wksp in St. Neots on that day, so I'll hug everyone there!
If I don't get to go to the wksp, I'll keep an eye on this thread and I'll see you all there.
My housemate works in the graphics Dept at Edin Uni. Shall I ask if she can organise (free) posters?
Sorry, Gav. The workshop is 4.30 on the Sun!!
With a team of at least 3, explaining the concept, I think we could do it anywhere. But it will take a ballsy person to do the hugging in some places!!!
If it helps, I could look at doing out of London, if the London team fancy it without me...
Twirly, you'd be welcome to be part of my team. Anyone can be involved, and don't need to be the "hugger".
Well get your name down on the thread CJ started then!
I feel dizzy...
*sits down to contemplate what she's done*
Just thinking it over, how about Covent Garden? It's got a long history of "street entertainers", it's very touristy, has a lovely mellow vibe and I know where the offical performance area is and how it works (I'm not getting up at 5.30am to book a spot though) so we can avoid stepping on anyone's toes. Good flow of people, no real traffic to deal with. Lots of food and drink within easy reach too.
Last time I looked at this thread, there was only one reply, I couldn't watch the video (which I'm now really sorry about) so I didn't bother looking again. I saw the other thread, and joined in there, because I'm definitely up for it, but didn't bother looking at this one again, so started spoiling the other one (sorry!).
I really wish I could see the video, it must be great to have inspired this sort of reaction, and just the happy feeling that has followed has lifted my day!
Yep, I did that too
and I must say I was having the crappiest day I've had for a long time, and while the issues are still there, I'm feeling much happier now.
Thx Twirly, CJ and all the other huggers.
Open question...
Gav, Lucy Locket and the like...
I know you guys are from out of London. Would setting up a team outwith be an option?
I'm spectacularly crap at English geography, but I know Di is contemplating something. Is Norwich do-able? Bedford? Peterborough? Any ideas, or local knowledge, would be good.
Errrrm, guess I was looking forward to a trip into the city.
I probably could do Norwich. Frankly I'm from NW Kent/SE London and as a city Norwich is in the dark ages. Maybe they need it more here, maybe it would be a monumental disaster!
If a few East Anglians/Midlanders want to come over to Norwich, I'll organise. Otherwise, I'll also travel to join others in East Anglia if need be?
