Yes, very nice. Esp the Sun night. I didn't feel I was dancing well at all, but some comments from partners and observers were encouraging (esp from one lady who was a lovely dancer herself).
Its a good idea if water is coming through a ceiling - there is a risk of the whole ceiling collapsing, but making a few small drainage holes allows the water to escape and the ceiling to dry out. Its then easier to repair a few small holes than replace a whole ceiling.

I had a good weekend. I no longer have a wonderful weekend just because its a dance weekend, but I was prepared for that and have shifted my perceptions and expectations. I had some great dances in all of the rooms, though I tend to just pop into the main room, have a few dances and head out again, some of those were really fab dances.
Some unexpected tangos - some had seen me tango with someone else (one had seen me tango in June) - nice to be asked up for a dance with a stranger to discover its a tango.
I enjoyed the music in the latin room and had some very enjoyable, playful dances in there.
I found the blues room a little crowded, but enjoyed Sun afternoon and later on Sun night when there was a bit more space.
I asked more (and only got one refusal - from a forumite ).
I think the biggest difference for me was how I felt about my dancing. There were several folk from NI on their first weekender - they've been dancing the same length of time I was when I came to my first Southport - and it reminded me of how far my dancing has progressed since then. I know I still have lots of things I want to learn and improve, but I felt confident and comfortable with my own dancing, and as a consequence enjoyed the dances more, and probably danced better too.
