    My first Southport it was a little daunting...especially given the fact I was by myself most of the weekend. I enjoyed myself non-the-less. I met a few lovely forumites (thank you Rhythm King, Chef and Tramp )

    I found the Blues class on the first night a little odd...I loved the West Coast Swing and Viktor's smoooooth class. Did anyone do the Bachata? Wasn't really my style but Ian Worrell (I think) was a fantastic teacher

    Looking forward to next year

    first southport as well... had very high expectations I suppose because of all the stuff I had read on the forum before, which is not so good obviously because easy to be (even slightly) disappointed.

    Well it think it's fair to say that I wasn't the slightlest disappointed, I had a fab week-end

    Feel like though today after just 2 hours sleep last night, and also my feet hurt so much ! Had a phone call from work today and I have to be offshore tomorrow

    Thanks to all the guys - and girls - for all those brilliant dances all week-end long ; I think I had a good fix of dancing and hope it will last until I come back from Cameroon (going away next week for 4 months - great experience but I will miss dancing ).

    Can't believe I didn't figure out more forumites though - like S38 - if you've been in the blues room all that time then surely we have danced together?


    Looking forward to the next southport now (which is probably going to be June for me)
