I enjoyed it better then June only because of personal reasons, but I did escape for a few hours on sat, and had a fun afternoon in the a pub in Southport.

Isn't it a forum regulation that you're not allowed to allude to personal reasons without explaining them in full for all the nosey people to see?

Quite so. If one expects things to be utter rubbish it is much harder to be disappointed. I have found that it's a huge mistake to look forward to anything. (Especially Ashton's. )

Sorry did not know about that regulation, but if I gave any clues on that, the person involved would guess who I was, and I rather let sleeping dogs lie. So can't help you on any gossip.

    Re: Southport Sept 06,the aftermath.

Had a fabulous weekend!! Haven't laughed so much in a very long time.... I am still very hoarse..

Terrific company as always, with my non-forum buddies and also the fabulous forumites in attendance! Nice to meet so many new faces and catch up the lovely old ones too.. as always for me, it is the people which make my weekend special, thanks to you all. You are all FAB.

Only one or two lowspots for me.. being hoarse and, not being able to walk yesterday and today!! Have discovered the numbing effects of alcohol wear off... eventually.. think I definately overdid something on Saturday night..

Music wise... well, I guess last night I spent a lot more time socialising last night, as the music was not quite my cup of tea.. but the dancefloor was still busy. Not enough WCS stuff for me... But, then again.. I think its because I am now VERY snooty.. (just need to learn how to do it.. ) Hardly ventured out of the Blues room all weekend..

I enjoyed the caberet (both the official one and the non-official one!!!) and looking forward to seeing the photos..) Massive to Cat and Amir.. who I thought were absolutely Stunning... (think I may start a fan club.... !)Ben and Melina were great too... and he was approachable enough to enable me to have a dance with him.. .lovely young man. Getting brave in my old age

Need a nice hot bath now and a very large masseur to deal with my poor legs.....

NB got home in record time.. fab drive.. just waiting for bed time...

    Re: Southport Sept 06,the aftermath.

    Cosmic!!!!!

Still havent slept still buzzing only 137 days till next southport.

Big thankyou to everyone who danced with me bigger thanks to everyone who danced with me after 8 sunday morning when i had no idea what i was doing (other than twitching due to the caffine)

The caberet was amazing the best since Jordan and Tatiana!!!!!
Ben and Melina were increadable to say they are so young. Adam and Tas are so flexible it kinda scares me and Amir and Cat were awsome.

For anyone who wasnt there or i didnt manage to tell i asked Cat to dance she said yes i was terified and she did the splits right at the end of the dance (which was almost the best dance ever) although the splits scared the life out of me cos i thought i had done something wrong and dropped her

Best dance ever was sunday morning so much fun n me being me cannot for the life of me remember your name i blame lack of sleep!!!

Special mention to Fletch, Witty, Ickle Chick'n and Megan (whose forum name i cant remember either. I no im useless you dont have to say it!!!!)

The music was amazing Marc and Trampy hitting all the right notes everytime

Last of all thanks so much to John and Wes for organising it all and for the breakfast's

Well for Personal reasons I enjoyed June more

But event fairly similar , like the upbeat lyndy class and taking part in the line dancing Cabaret
Water run out some times but over all very well run and on Par etc ( leads to Congrats on Under par winning the fancy dress) Can they get those in fancy dress to walk around the floor like last time. you dont see much if your sitting down and their static but great effort.

would prefer just a blues room with slower music but numbers suggest otherwise

Thanks two forum buddies on sunday night had a bit of a turn there

Plus thanks for the many dances from another forumite who for what ever reason I hadnt dance with much before , they were lovely

    ps didnt hear any seagulls

There was music. Apparently people danced. I didn't do much of that. Ate cake.
