    Smile Southport Sept 06,the aftermath.

Well, after all the hype, was it;a breeze,a storm or just a load of hot air?

I guess tiger assumed the existing 11 Southport threads weren't enough coverage.

It's never too early to start an 'aftemath' thread. There may be some breaking news.
Especially if anyone can get online at Southport.

    Breaking news? Breaking news?
Good grief man, it's a dance weekender, not a superpower summit.

to steal a phrase - "A dance weeknder isn't a matter of life and death. It's more important than that".
    nb - use of irony.

Can I just say how shocking it is to see people wantonly post random and gratuitous nonsense on this thread, thus obscuring the vital purpose of telling people:
    • Who danced with whom
    • How long everyone stayed up for
    • What people wore as costumes
    • What wonderful music was being played in the Blues room
    • And so on.

    I'm shocked.

My regret is that, unless ESG has gone to Spt and taken his laptop and loogged on here.....there will be no Photos from Spt thread from him this time.....

    Re: Southport Sept 06,the aftermath.

Would anyone like to file a 'Southport Sept 2006 the aftermath' match report now, before the end of the weekend, so I can read about the barbecues, the blues room, the boogie woogie, the brilliant cabarets, the bitching, the blokes, the beach, the bad ass attitudes, etc etc before Monday evening?

Couldn't make the dates, I'm afraid. There will however be photos from both Bliss and Breeze, if all goes well.

Just want to say that since I've been up since 4am and awake since 2am - I might as well be in Southport

Yeah, well, it was OK. Not as bad as I'd anticipated. Bit tiring, though.

    Weather was great.

Sh*.....*it! My power's been halved and it's not just the debilitating effect of a night in the Blues room!

You went to a weekender with the expectation of it being bad? Why?

I think JC goes everywhere with the expectation of being disappointed. (Especially Ashtons.) To be honest, I see it as a usurpation of my role as Chief Eeyore, and I am not pleased.
