Anone know why I can't give reps at the moment? Can you only give so many in a given period of time?

Yeah. You can only give so many reps in 24 hours. Along with no being able to rep the same person until you've repped 10(?) other people inbetween.

*Actually, I really don't care about the actual rep score at all. The comments are nice (well, when they're nice!). But the points mean nothing...

I was beginning to think it was like The Emperor's New Clothes.

I never notice a poster's rep score anyway. I think most people, like me, are more concerned with who's doing the posting; I look for the name, and if I value that person's opinion, or at least find them amusing, then I'm more likely to pay attention to what they say. Simple really.
