Queensland floods 3 days ago. My sister lives in Cairns, but luckily nowhere near Toowoomba. Queensland is huge 25 times the size of Sri Lanka and about 7.5 times bigger than GB. But one must spare a thought for those unfortunate townspeople.

Now this takes balls (can I say that)?
sweet and funny.
One of my dreams is to see a Blue Whale. We get them in Sri Lanka. And in October I plan to achieve that.
Meanwhile I am fascinated by their size and it is hard to comprehend or even compare. But I think this clip goes some way to address that. This shows a man filming a Right Whale which is only 45ft long compared to the Blue Whale's 100ft plus.
I thought was just beautiful.
Something oddly wet and familiar here -
Cotswold Olimpicks
This led to me buying a book for £168
It's half a metre tall and contains 200 of his photos - although it's a lot, just one photo that size nicely framed would cost as much, so it's a bargain to get 199 more with the one I really really wanted![]()
Wow - some amazing / beautiful / stunning images...but which was "THE ONE" Cederic...is it in there?
Any smugness remaining from all those years ago when I learned to solve the Rubiks Cube, or from all those years ago when I learned to juggle... has been comprehensively wiped out by this video of a guy combining the two activities.
This track's always gone down well at blues dances - but it's going to be hard to dance to it now without picturing Alberta Hunter's facial expressions from this video. And to think she was in her mid-eighties when this was filmed...
(I love one of the comments, which says: "Can I have her as my grandmother?")
Wow, but a little scary perhaps.
This made me laugh:
