Description: I have a bunch of what I call junk, which no charity organisation will take for recycling and I'm a lazy cow and can't be arsed to e-bay it, advertise it in the local paper or take it down the tip. Unfortunately it's all "buyer collect" kinda stuff - I live in North Herts but may be able to deliver London-ish or Oxford-ish on my way somewhere else as long as you'll contribute to fuel and not are too far out of me way. The below is all functional / as described and free to a good home... Futon: pine base is perfect, stuffing is starting to come out of mattress. It works fine with a fitted sheet over the bit where the seam is split and could be repaired if you're more motivated than I am to do so. Large office desk - about 5 ft wide. Solid wood top, 2 sets of drawers, one of which still locks and I have the keys. Donated by office, good heavy furniture, none of your MFI rubbish, just a bit scruffy 'cos it's old. Will throw in equally scruffy swivel typists chair (non HSE compliant as it has no arms, but I find it quite comfortable!) Large office bookcase - about 4 ft wide by 1 ft deep, perfect for holding files - again, strong, solid wood furniture. Only really marred by scratch on top (you got it, I was too lazy to fix it...). Used to have glass doors, but they broke, which is why I inherited it from the office I worked in! Coupla dining chairs, padded seats and backs in dusky kinda pink kinda vinyl. Yes, they look as revolting as they sound, but they are dead comfortable. Video player. Yes, that's right, player - the record only gives you static. Ideal for young child's bedroom because it plays fine but will not allow them to secretly record porno movies. Portable TV. May have antique value, and I need to check it still works... Seriously, if no-one has any use for this stuff, it really will have to go down the tip - I haven't got the space and it was all rejected by the furniture recycling people - stupid rules and regulations about what they can and can't take, I would have thought that anyone who is trying to set up home or a home office on zero budget would appreciate stuff that works, even if it isn't beautiful, and I need to get off my soap box don't I...?
