    Well, I tried to be an honorary Scot at Slinkys last night and lead this lunging leg slidey thing on some willing victims. No idea if it was the same move or if it was working as well as it should but it was great fun trying

    It does sound barida-y ("sweep-y") - I dunno if there's a specific Tango step exactly like that, but a sidestep-sweep is pretty close from the description.
