back on topic.. I can't eat before going to bed.. gives me wicked indigestion. However, i sometimes like a slice of toast and honey before I hit the sack..
Years of going practicing/gym straight after work meant I got used to having dinner about 10 or 11. I still do it now - whether I'm dancing or not. I find it very strange to eat earlier.
My two favourite places after dancing are the noodle shop in Fulham, and the burger van on the way back from Twyford.

Well, as I was without both my curry partners tonight, I settled for a take away thingy from Tesco and a very large glass of wine

It is indeed fab. There's now also a Spanish tapas place a 7 min walk from the Greenwich venueOriginally Posted by Tazmanian Devil
I never eat before i go dancing. I usually have a 1 1/2 - 2 hour car journey home after so I sometimes stop at the services for a sandwich on the way home or i have fruit and cashew nuts to nibble on.Originally Posted by Dizzy

Apple , orange and Carrot. - Quite delicious
have even tried ones with Spinach and Potato (not so fine) but a tuna milkshake.. that even makes me gag !
I eat before I go dancing - but only a fairly light meal (most often 2 fried eggs on toast) and a couple of hours before. I'm usually starting to get a bit hungry by the time I get home afterwards, but as I have to get up nice and early the next (about 5.00 am) I tend to just ignore it and fall straight into bed - you don't feel hungry when you're asleep (assuming it's not so bad that you can't get to sleep in the first place!).
Had an awful experience last Saturday - went to the Ceroc Kent Summer Ball in Folkestone, which was preceded by our Crew Day, so had to grab food as and when presented. I had quite a substantial lunch (club sandwich with curly fries and salad - very yummy!) and wasn't really very hungry by the time I 'had' to eat again - there was no way I was dancing til 1.00 without eating, and wasn't going to go out in the middle to find some food - so decided to have sausage and chips anyway. What a mistake - I was in agony most of the night - started to ease off around midnight, but won't be doing that again (didn't stop me dancing though - in fact I could sort of ignore the pain while I was dancing, it was when I was sitting out, getting drinks etc that it was worst)
Is no one else going to admit to stopping at the kebab shop or chippy on the way home after a decent dance session. I used to do a lot of mountain biking, and am used to the concept of "exercise or eating - which comes first??"
If you've done a decent dance session, aren't you allowed something a little more appealing??

Good choice of words you'd be better off eating a light snack before dancing and a light one afterwards. but then again a little of what you fancy does you no harm..Originally Posted by littlewiggle
