Do the tea dances still arrange cake?
Well I shall be doing Delia's reduced fat carrot cake if that helps
But if any makes it over to the dance floor (as DB hasn't eaten it) then do eat it, as last time I took loads home and it went to waste... English dancers don't eat as much cakes Scottish ones (or maybe it's just my cakes )
I wondered if it was just they felt more guilty eating other people's cakes when they don't seem to bring any of their own...
It does seem to be more of a scottish thing to take cakes. I took lots to my last SP and, after a slow start, managed to get rid of them by telling everyone just to help themselves. Admittedly most of the cake munchers were scottish folk I knew, or their friends!
It might say something about our heart disease levels too
Don't worry DB I'm hoping to bake bribe my way into someone's car for Scorch, but I will be baking for a week beforehand, Not only that I can't be the only baker coming down, so I'm sure there will be plenty of cake..
Go without cake to a weekender?? What happens if there is a delay? I would need to keep up my dance strength!!
Cheers WT
Big thanks to anyone who has brought cake to weekenders that I've had share of. Much appreciated.
Work doesn't seem to be complaining - I'm trying a new recipe for teabread on them - with lady grey tea in it.. Must put the recipe up here, then bring some to the next tea dance
