Ooooh bejasus, you do make me jealous. Barm cakes are but a distant memory and not to be found in these more Southern parts. A similar situation with those glorious custard slices made by Ogmore Bakery in South Wales and not equalled anywhere else.

I also love beaches... I took a few photos on Southport beach last month. You can see them (along with other Southport photos) here.

    Hope you like them!

Nice studies. I like the ones with the dune grasses, and the sand close up. I only ever take a little APS with me to Southport so my piccies are rather dull.

Its Red Squirrel Week apparently and this is on not far from me (where my office is based actually!) I'll be at Breeze though!
October 8th - In association with the Ulster Wildlife Trust a Red Squirrel Awareness Day is being held at Belvoir Forest between 2pm and 4pm. This is a family event offering crafts and self-guided walks to raise awareness of the red squirrel in NI as part of National Red Squirrel Week.

Oops! I'm ashamed to say that I got bored with the thread before I reaching the last post on page 1.

Did you see last night's programme with Bill and the lovely Simon tried to win the lovely Kate with their impressions of a roaring red deer stag rutting. Priceless. I had tears rolling down my legs. More BBC!

I'll be Simon's hind any day.

I actually had a crush on Bill Oddie - when he was in "The Goodies".
