I've got a few tat's, at the last count, I've got about 15....and needless to say, I absolutely love them.
All except one are of tribal design. (Just think of big black 'patterns'). I've got them on my upper arms, down to elbow area, upper right leg, chest, stomach and all over my back.
I have never regretted any of them and plan on adding to the existing ones as soon as I get a chance.
They have individually represented a different time or 'occurence' within my life, and so have meaning to me.
Unfortunately, also being a young guy with a shaved bonce means that people do tend to judge before they meet you.....but I often think that if they do then they're not really people I'm ar$ed about knowing anyway...
If you're thinking of having one done....pick a design before you go to the shop or you'll be blown away by the choices and won't know what you want. Pick a place on your body and stick to it...and don't worry the first one doesn't hurt as much as you think...it must be an adrenaline thing.
Top tip's: If you want them to really hurt then go for your stomach or chest , if you want them to go numb quick (and so don't hurt quite so much) go for your spine.
Happy hunting,
JB x x
p.s. chew on some chewing gum as you're getting it done, it tends to focus your mind elsewhere... x

I used to know a girl in the American army who had large dog paw prints tattooed on her breasts, in worryingly bright and poisonous-looking pink and green, just high enough that they were visible in anything that showed cleavage - but still low enough that she constantly bragged about how much they had hurt to have done, because they were on the fleshy bit - which made her so much more macho than the guys that had tattoos in similar places. It took quite a bit of persuading to explain to her that being macho wasn't necessarily something a girl should be bragging about, especially one that didn't like holding guns because they damaged her fake nails.
ive wanted a tattoo for ages but i just cant decide what i want or where!!
Advise!! Be absolutely sure on what you want and where you want it!Originally Posted by linny lou!

I was under the impression that there are age restrictions? Don't you have to be 18+ to get them done?Originally Posted by Vicky

ahh but your not the one that would get in trouble the tatooist isOriginally Posted by Vicky
legally it doesn't matter if you gave your consent and signed a contract - as you were not legally of age to give such consent and enter into the contract - the tatooist could still be prosecuted.
I read somewhere that it's not even legal for under 18's even if your parents give their consent....
I dont have a tattoo, but I would like one, the Chinese symbol for little brother
No tattoos and no regrets. I decided to go for navel piercing instead - at least it's not permanent so you choose whether to wear jewellery in it or not! Win Win!
