Herbalist/Neal's Yard/health food shop (even Holland and Barrett, I think).
It's drops so you take them in a glass of water. 30 drops up to every 2 hours to start, then once a day for at least a week after that.
It strengthens lungs, throat and nasal passages. It also works on your immune systems generally, making your natural defences stronger against any bugs - great to take before a weekender, when we dance lots, sleep very little and (generally) eat more junk food.
If you've got blocked sinuses Eyebright tincture would be good too (but it tastes worse than the thyme).

Drathzel doesn't mind the taste, as long as it's not like mushrooms

Thanks, can you take it with cold and flu stuff? i am assuming so.

I went into H&B in belfast and the girl looked blankly at me. Shall try the one in bangor. I take it its not the type of thing you would get in boots?

All good. Stuck in bed with very sore shoulder, which thankfully isn't dislocated even tho it is hanging down slightly...

Bed 13 (by the window with a view of the sea): Mr CJ - Recently admitted with a shoulder injury following a accident on his bike. Further tests has ruled out dislocation but is suffering localised mobility problems. Will continue observations and further tests before diagnosis.

    Oh Dear... CJ...

what sort of view are you looking for... looks like the nurses will be looking after your 'arse' and your shoulder.. hopefully, we will be the ones with a view...

*cranes neck to get a better look at his injuries....*

Get well soon... or the physio will get HIS big hairy hands on you....

Can I have the bed next to CJ.....I've done my back in. Bending over to pick up a pair of socks on Sunday, and couldn't straighten up again. I could hardly walk yesterday, but stuggled along to the doc, who assures me it'sJUST a muscular strain and to keep mobile and hopefully I'll be better in a few days. It's bloody agony. Hopefully some nice strong chaps will help me with my gear at Stirling tonight. hope it's better by Friday or it's going to be a long painful journey to Southport

*drops off flowers, fruit, chocolates, potable alcohol, etc.*

Might as well while I'm in Outpatients (unhealthy enough to be grumpy and need my sleep, not unhealthy enough to be let off work )

    Bed 4 is now empty.

    Spots are fading fast.

Sees who is in bed 13 so draws on more spots and tops and tails with CJ.

I've seen ivy and thyme but no thyme alone. Please do, have a feeling the next few months will be hectic, need all my strength and immune system in place!

    *Checks self in*

Looks like I've damaged one of the tendons in my foot so I'm not allowed to do anything with my ankle beyond walking . So no dancing for me for the next few weeks (I'm hoping a week... I'm a fast healer, honest).

    Poor yous!

Hope you're better in time for the weekend Freya! (Did you figure out what's happening on Sunday yet?)
