It's simple = stop analysing everything about the dancing etc and just ask her out!
ok.. Naive mode engaged. Who or What is SF? To me (geek) That means Science Fiction.. What? I'm to "use the force" and "enter the matrix" , to "Boldly go where no man has gone before" to experience "An epic drama of adventure and exploration." Making sure that on my date I "Don't get wet, keep out of bright light, and never feed after midnight."
Hmm?? or am I missing something?
I only really end up going out with people that I have known for a while first and I love that whole business of someone becoming even more attractive as you begin to know her better.
The problem with dancing is that you don't really get to know people well as we are all so busy dancing and I really struggle with the multi-tasking thing of talking and dancing! In any other situation over a month or two of conversation I might find myself inclined to ask someone out but in dancing land my timescale is WAY longer by which time she has either been snapped up or died of old age.
Doesn't stop me being an outrageous flirt though!
48 hours til arrive in SOUTHPORT.
See you there!
p.s. is there a forumites get together - as a newbie missed the last one in June
Gonna rename this thread the Beowulf dating agency site. Go boy go!
(jealousy kicking in)
Yes - just hand over your £49.95 to me at Southport. For which you are guaranteed at least 10 dates (in the form of dances) with a variety of lovely ladies one or more of whom I am sure will tickle your fancy!*
*disclaimer - strictly no refunds in the event of your fancy not being tickled
p.s. stop using random good looking guys' photographs
Just thought I'd throw my two penneth in.
Since I started dancing in January I've had breif flings with 2 ladies and very nice they were too.
FWIW, they both still dance at the same venues as me and we still talk and dance together as friends.
I can see what other peoples concerns might be, but we're grown up's aren't we?
x.
