    Quantum Leap

Does anyone else love this tv show? It's one of my favorites, I watch the re-runs whenever i'm in the house when they're on. I've not seen them all yet, i'll need to buy the box-sets. 80's kidz had it all.

It's being repeated on freeview at the moment. There are loads of episodes I've missed. Did you watch "Sliders" as well?

I really liked Quantum Leap. Some good story lines...

Sliders was cool too, plus it had Sabrina Lloyd in it.

I loved that show. I have about 8 video tapes (long play) full of episodes.
My favourite had to be the one where he was a 1950's radio DJ who was taken off the air for playing 'sinful music' (rock 'n' roll).

What about the one with the deaf dancer

Although my favourites were the Alea episodes (Evil Leaper?) where his opposite number tries to mees things up. The episode where the cliff-hanger is him and her apparently jumped into Hell is very well done.

Thought about a couple of things...

One interesting and different thing about this time-travel show, compared with most others is the premise that they *must* change things in the past. Typically in time-travel fiction this is something to be avoided...

And, again, once I thought about... I realised that not only was Sabrina Lloyd in it – she was in it twice!

My favourite episode was the one about the Kennedy assasination, when I seem to remember he came back as Lee Harvey Oswald.

Oh, that was on a couple of weeks ago, but I think it was in 2 parts, and I only got to see the first one

Pity because there is a good twist at the end of that.

OK I never really watched it (maybe saw one episode or something), but I'm curious now - what happened?

(Ash if you don't want the storyline ruined, look away - assuming someone is nice enough to indulge me? )

Yeah, but if you really want to know what happened at the Kennedy Assassination you have to watch Red Dwarf

If you want to know, quote me it'll magically appear
<Basically Sam isn't entirely in control and Lee Harvey Oswald keeps reasserting himself. Despite Sam's best efforts through 2 epsiodes, Oswald still shoots and kills Kennedy. Sam is understandably distraught at his failure until Al explains to him that in the original timeline without Sam's intereference, Oswald killed both Kenedy and Jackie Onassis. This time he managed to save Jackie. Always thought that was a really nice touch>

    Re: Quantum Leap

I LOVED Quantum Leap. I remember when I first came to England, and didn't really know enough of the language to really understand everything that went on. Of course, I didn't get ANY historical references there may have been. lol I remember it was awesome because I could kinda understand what was going on without understanding everything they were saying. I just kinda looked at who he saw when he looked in the mirror and stuff, and the hologram guys with the pressing of the buttons, and the leaping, and everything. it was all so exciting! Well, it was to me, when I was about 8/ 9. lol

And Sliders! omg, I was such an addict. I remember distinctly the episode where, at the end, they found their way home. I won't say what happened, but I got a tear.

Also, Gimli was in it. That makes it double awesome.
