hmm not sure what it says about my brain but I thought of blue - one of my favourite colours and a trowel - had been using one in the garden this afternoon
It didn't work for me, but how about you?
Now... just follow the instructions as quickly as possible. Do not go to the next calculation before you have finished the previous one.
You do not need to write or remember the answers, just do it using your mind.
You'll be surprised.
Start: How much is:
15 + 6
3 + 56
89 + 2
12 + 53
75 + 26
25 + 52
63 + 32
I know! Calculations are hard work, but it's nearly over. Come on, one more...
123 + 5
QUICK! THINK ABOUT A COLOR AND A TOOL!

A bit more...
You just thought about a red hammer, didn't you?
If this is not your answer, you are among 2% of people who have a different, if not abnormal, mind. 98% of the folks would answer a red hammer while doing this exercise.

Green (my favourite colour) spade (no earthly idea!) for me.
Why a red hammer? I thought of a yellow cpu-puller
Well I thought of a blue screwdriver...
Please, is anyone out there thinking of a red hammer... who is the "normal" person???
Yep I chose red hammer - guess there's an explainable reason that my 15 year old could tell you (he knows the answer to EVERYTHING at the moment )
Although I've done this type of thing at different times and I can come up with different answers - maybe it depends on mood, etc....?
The arithmetic is there to clear your mind of other thoughts...
At which point, red is the statistically most likely colour you'll think of. Probably because it is bright, attractive to the eye, and a nice simple word.
Hammer is also typically the first tool we think of, perhaps because it is believed to be the first tool "invented" by humans.
All this test is showing is that we're all human.
(BTW, I though of a peach-coloured chain-saw, but that might have been because I was deliberately making my mind think of less obvious things. )
Now, think of a vegetable...
Let your mind go and your body will follow. – Steve Martin, LA Story
I thought of a pink screwdriver so I suposse I was close, mine is much more interesting though
mmm ..... looks like I may be odd too.... Blue Spade sprang to mind... oh dear... wonder what that means...
Oh dear, I thought of a red hammer - not sure what that say's about me.
Red is my favorite colour and my daughters favorite toy when she was a baby was a squeaky red hammer but then maybe I'm just predictable...?

I dunno, but given that you're half like me I'd think that's pretty odd for a woman...Originally Posted by drathzel
