So glad you came back for some of the tea dance on Sunday - it was really worth getting as much dancing in as you could before the op - still, it looks from the pics like you're doing really well so I'm sure you'll be back dancing with us again in no time!

Had the loveliest time with you guys.. a truly smashing couple.. I did look for you but the taxi came early...

nearly missed the plane too...

it was worth it to spend a couple more hours with such wonderful folk..


ps... even more bruising, and swelling now and apparently could get more so... yukk... physio says i am doing well, so fingers crossed with exercises I will get strong again. counting the days now... 'sad smiley'

My turn to go under the knife next month

The lovely doctor will be poking a camera into my knee to have a look around and flush it out, he will then make another inciscion along the outside edge of my knee and cut the tendon Apparently, this will reduce the 'pull' on the knee cap and will allow it to rise slightly, lessening the grating on the end of my thigh bone and reduce the likiness of it wrenching out again and dislocating.

I shan't be able to dance for 6-8 weeks but I'm looking on the bright side - if I have this done my knee will (hopefully) be better than it is now.

Does anyone have any advice to share for good recovery? Jackson Donut, I shall be looking to you for the gory details of your similar op.

Call me anytime.. A few months on and although there is a massive improvement, I still think I need a few months of being careful. Six months was the time quoted to me initially...

Still can be sore sometimes if I overdo it.

Be thinking of you and have fingers crossed all will go well.... I am sure it will make all of the difference and benefit you a great deal.. good luck.
