Tut tut! Maybe he can't make up his mind as to whether to get the pink ones or not. After all, I'm not sure they'll look so good with orange trousers somehow!

I think the days of me getting my rapidly expanding girth into those orange trousers are well past

Must admit that this thread has been very useful. Hoping to have a hunt round a few dance shops over the weekend and look seriously at a pair of Stealths or TSO1s. The latter would possibly be a better fit for my style of dancing and for street wear ...

Of course the alternative approach is to take more coaching from DavidB on his approach to footwork and then I could dance in wellingtons

Oh now there's a thought!! I can imagine you turning up at a dance venue in your orange trousers (turned up,) with your wellies on!!!

I've been taught wellie dancing by an American dancer called Ira Bernstein (he's got a Blue Peter badge )

Why would I wear wellingtons? Some pubs wouldn't let you in wearing them.

That's the reason I put off buying trainers. However, after a few hours dancing at Ashtons which I think has a good floor, I felt like I was dancing on concrete. So I thought I would try the lowest profile trainers I could find.

There seems to be mixed experience about how hard-wearing they are.

The babies are pictured below before they get subject to some abuse.

Any advice on keeping them wif free? Cedar balls?
