    Weekenders (when the fun stops)

Given the relaxation in recent years of weekenders and with far more being available do we know what is a safe limit of weekenders in a year ?

Excessive weekenders can cause a medical condition called overexcitmentnightus.

It’s a medical condition where the individual craves a repeated fix time and time again. Has anyone done any research into what is a safe limit of use ?

Like most medical conditions there are symptoms to watch out for but when does one cross the line from a casual weekender to a weekender junkie?

The symptoms usually start over a weekend and the individual cant get to sleep, complains of aching feet on the Monday general tiredness etc follow

For most people these are mild symptoms which often go by the Wednesday after the weekender, additional symptoms of feeling a bit down and a luck of a ‘buzz’ when the individual returns to their home setting have also been recorded

For most people these symptoms have fully gone after 2 weeks when their back in a routine

The symptoms re appear when the individual becomes bored of the general routine in the home setting and seeks another ‘fix’ i.e. weekender

No research has been done as to what is a ‘safe limit’

Is 3 weekenders safe per year or 12 weekenders per year

Signs of excessive use could be taking sick days from work , spending money you don’t have, booking a year in advance. More research is required

I think there needs to be a debate

A much rarer but potentially more dangerous condition exist which is called Iwasnttherebutwillmakecommentsanywayitus

This is when the individual doesn’t attend the weekender but has all the symptoms and will give his view on the merits of classes and what should have happened, However they were not there. There is no know treatment for this yet

    that's me

Perhaps if freestyle went on later than 11.30 in the midlands and 1am London, i wouldn't feel the need to go to so many weekenders, Daventry 3am has got it right for me anyway

I think there phantom symptoms and have no bearing on a serious medical debate

Re: Weekenders (when the fun stops)

I have done 2 cambers a year for the past few years

this year I am due to do 3

and I am very tempted to do breeze if it doesn't get booked up too quick

would love to do 52 weekenders, but 26 are taken up seeing my kids in Leeds so I would settle for 26 weekenders, but at my age doubt if I could take the excitement, and I dont think I could afford that much Proplus and Redbull

so will have to settle for 3 or 4

I am still trying to get to grips with the boiled head thread so I refuse to get involved with medical research
