Cheaper petrol?

Was listening to Radio 2 (the shame of it) & the guy from monetsavingexpert.com was telling about a potential scheme to save money on fual. It works on the same principle as company fuel cards, where a group like Esso will shave a few pence off each litre for the guarantee that all of that companies users will visit their pumps. Have a look for yourself here

and if you don't want to visit the fuel card site you can go on Martin Lewis' www.moneysavingexpert.com, click through the Travel & Transport links and use its system for finding the cheapest petrol to your postcode.

It's one of the best sites out there for consumers - saving money in all kinds of ways. Top recommendation.

Now there's an idea - perhaps you should suggest it to MSE!

    Re: Cheaper petrol?

I was working in Venezuela before Christmas, and driving around in a big V-8 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Running on fumes I got into a filling station and managed to put 90 litres in it I paid my 4,300 Bolivars and drove off. It wasn't til I got back to my hotel and did the currency conversion that I realised my tank of petrol had cost less than £1.20, or about $2.00 US!
