I didnt see you there ?

Lets have your views on the old boat pleaseeeeeeee

The boat I think was built in 1918 so I think you have to go back pre war see a improved appearance

    Paul,
I saw you dancing all afternoon mister.... and if you weren't happy with the music you should have come and said something I am not that unapprochable after all.....

Further more, and without sounding rude, if you were in a bad mood, may be you should have stayed at home....!!

    Have a lovely week

    Erick

Well OK, but what could he have said - "I don't like the music"? Realistically, would you have significantly changed your set based on feedback from one person?

Well, obviously it's all Paul's fault for assuming he might enjoy himself and dancing might cheer him up, what a loon huh? (Also, I hear he likes Jango, so he's clearly completely insane).

But just so I've got it straight, you only want people to come if they're in a good mood to start with, right?

Seriously, unlike a moany old git like me, Paul is mostly positive about things - if he didn't like a venue, and if I were running that venue, I'd take this as valuable and useful feedback from a paying customer.

I managed to get there at 3:40, changed my shoes, had a look round, danced, changed back and was out of there at 4:40. Took me about 2 hours home and got back around 6:30.

The reason I was in a bad mood was because of the journey to the venue. I decided to drive as getting a train and tube is pretty expensive in and around London.
When I eventually got there I had calmed down a bit.

The event was not to my taste which I may have hinted at in my post!

I dont really think saying anything about the music would have changed your playlist would it? After all I now realise you have to play what will appeal to the majority, not me.

I wanted to dance and couldnt do that effectively. I saw it more of a social thing and as I didnt know too many people I felt awkward.

I have already said that my original post wasnt balanced as I sometimes do post what I feel at that moment rather than weighing things up. Im getting help for it.

We had a dance at 5pm dont you remember

It seems the most vocal people on this thread were those who were not there.

Music was great , apart from small hic cup from interference from a passing boat I hear ! DJ soon returned to his post

I certainly agree with you Paul, this is more like a social thing, the floor is not brilliant to dance on but it's a great way to spend Sunday afternoon especially on a sunny day.

As for the traffic, it took me about an hour to get back to sunny Islington, apparently the whole of Trafalgar Square had been closed off.
