I have a friend that has called his cat sh**ty kitty, he said it was fine til it got sick and had to take it to the vets, sitting in the waiting area among a few other furry patients the vet opens the door and shouted can we have sh**y kitty please

I take it you've heard the Dave Allen routine about him wanting to call his dog 'Basket', just to confuse the poor creature.

    Re: Name that thing

Animals aren't things IMO, so my cats all have/have had names.

Lucy-fur was one of my better efforts (sadly she died young several years ago). None of the rest have been particularly interesting, but new vets are always surprised when they first meet Snowy (of course she's one of the blackest cats you ever saw...)

My VW Golf is called Dotty after her reg. number and also that she has dots down either side of the front doors. Although the rest of my family call her the tank as she a Mk 2 model and solid.

I named all my mums cars as well when I was on her insurance only seems right when most people spend a lot of their time in one.
