I'm the Heirophant but I did want to be the fool had several attempts but still a Heirophant just have to settle for been a fool that rushes in etc
I've tried again and I am now the Fool.
I got the Fool, then the Lovers, the Lovers, the Lovers.
ESG - you fancy working out the stats for us?
I think only 3 or 4 cards have been mentioned - maybe some of the decks got lost
The numerology "system" that's being used is biased towards certain cards of the major arcana, which will occur more frequently when fed a selection of random dates.Originally Posted by Piglet

Magician
High Priestess
Empress
Emperor
Hierophant
Lovers
Chariot
Strength
Hermit
I'm not certain why people are getting the Fool as his card is 0 and so you should only get that by entering 0's into the form.
The calculation is based on your date of birth, for example
23/8/1980 gives 23+8+1980 = 2011, 2+0+1+1 = 4 = The Emperor
However, in some cases you will have two cards, for example
21/8/1980 gives 21+8+1980 = 2009, 2+0+0+9 = 11 = Justice, but also 1+1 = 2 so also High Priestess

There is a belief that the Tarot was originally the bible of an illiterate population and was used to pass knowledge from generation to generation in picture form. When Christianity first came to Europe the church tried to ban cards because but failed, so they brought out their own pack of Tarot cards called the stations of the cross. In the early 18th century a fascination with numerology (the meaning of numbers) led to the fool being added to the major arcana as card zero bringing to number of cards in the pack to 78 (I forget the reasoning) and now the Major Arcana is supposed to tell the story of the journey of the fool on his path of enlightenment from Magician (I) to inheriting the World (XXI)

It's a little more complicated than that, because:Originally Posted by Bangers & Mash
