    Sound track to my life

Something I posted on the 28 years ago thread has got me thinking.

In the unlikely event that a movie is made of my life story the early years will have Elvis playing in the soundtrack. My teenage years will be the Beatles, Bowie, the Stones, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, The Carpenters, the Glitter Band*, T-Rex, the Sweet, loads of Motown. My 20s and 30s will be radio 2! And my MJ years will be everything played in the blues room!

*It would have been "the Leader" but that's never going to be PC

Re: Sound track to my life

My mum was an Elvis fan so I grew up listening to and playing his records - I remember propping the GI Blues album up in the lid of my record player...

When I got to the grand age of 11 and started 'big' school I just couldn't get into the 80s music at all,(don't know if this was because of my earlier Elvis influence?). I tried, I really did, but ended up preferring earlier (50s and 60s) music and some 70s (though I did like Chris de Burgh's early stuff and even went to see him in concert). Now...such a range, not sure how I would narrow it down.
