Blueyonder do a very good bundle including phone and cable TV
The big trap is being locked in to contact so avoid BT at all costs
Am hopefully going to get online at home soon (before I get the sack for playing on the forum all day...), no idea who's hot and who's not in terms of providers at the moment.
Any recommendations gratefully received.

This, as far as i know, is the best reference for ADSL provider measures. Just look how bad the BT and AOL do against Zen and Nildram. I use Nildram, never had a problem.
Do a comparison with your top 5 providers and find our how they actually compare.
Also if your village bound, find out what's going on with BT's Demand Tracker. Very handy to find out if your even close to getting Broadband.
Check the following link for a quick comparison.

JazzBug aka Oli.
Eclipse have been taken over by Kingston. It's a shame - they used to be good.
I use Blueyonder at home and haven't had a problem.
I have experience of Zen, Plusnet, Nildram.
Nildram is looking a bit expensive these days, as is Zen (from which I migrated to Plusnet most recently).
Plusnet are doing 2 meg for 15 quid (once your exchange is updated) but even 1/2 meg for 15 quid isn't bad.
I went for the 22 quid unlimited one, though. Their web portal is pretty good, and their support seems ok too. I've used it a couple of times.
