I agree salsa has a learning curve, but one could make exactly those arguments for, well, any non-MJ dance style. Certainly there's an even steeper learning curve for Ballroom / Latin, and nosequins is (I think) still doing OK on those fronts.

Although trying to teach Argentinian Tango to an MJ crowd would, I suspect, be a significant challenge...

If you want to know more then you are best contacting Emma Petitt on 01327 311137 or 07734 910343 email emma@ceroccentral.com
Its on until 2! I will be there.
I really dont mind driving long distances to get to freestyles just so long as they go on long enough. Some venues advertise big summer balls or christmas parties etc. and they only go on until 12! Then they have cabarets in the middle of it. Ok, i guess thats good if you like cabarets
Its ashame for those that want to go but have to drive a long way.

This sounds good though. I went to the last one (emma's teaching anniversary) and thought it was well worth the effort. It certainly is a big venue

    Oh
I'd add "and if you're reasonably confident it'll be a good night". It takes a lot to get me out of my London shell.

Its that big grey circly thing. Acts like a prison wall

Am i right in thinking that they are extending the M25 to 5 lanes in either direction? Looked like it around junction 15 at the weekend.

OK, you're a Neil Gaiman fan, right?

But hey, I'm not a complete wuss - I've been to Chesham
And Bisley, but we don't talk about that

Neil Gaiman, author. I'm referring to Good Omens, where he gave an... interesting... description of the M25

I'm sure it will be a great night but I am dismayed to see so many things breaking up the freestyle, each one highly likely to over-run.

Fortunately Emma is the most punctual ceroc teacher I have ever known. If anyone can keep to time she can

I am very curious about the mystery blues DJ....do we get a clue?

Does he use a laptop or CDs?
Will he have a pre-prepared playlist?
    Can he dance?
    Will he dance?

    Or 'she'....

Im absolutely gutted. From a 6 hour night we actually only get just over 4 hours of freestyle

Its one of those where you just get into your freestyle then it stops for another break

Why, oh why, oh why cant we just dance!!!

Lets just save our socialising, drinking and eating till the breaks then in the freestyle bits we can just
    DANCE DANCE DANCE!

Maybe I’m odd or something, but I actually quite like the breaks. I’ve never been one to dance wall-to-wall. I suppose it must be my age as I just can’t keep it going all night.

Im sure it will be a storming success as a night as plenty of people love cabarets, competitions etc.
The only reason I am annoyed is a purely personal one. I want to make the drive down there to dance with as many people as possible that I dont usually get to dance with.
With such a huge reduction in freestyling time it makes it less of an incentive.
