    Room 101

A search showed this hasn't been done for a while, and I've been grumpy all the way home. So here goes.

That [CENSORED] Ceroc Spin. I am rubbish at it.

Oh, and while I'm here, St Albans town centre can go in there as well.

< winge over, skips away all sweetness and light >

Actually, I just thought I'd better stop there or I'd be going for an epic longest-forum-post-in-recorded-time

Sorry DS but marmite is coming right back out again. It's marvellous stuff.

    In go:

    The Jubilee Line.

Dance partners who ignore the teacher and then complain they haven't got the hang of the move.

Other dance partners who despite being in intermediate or advanced classes still grab onto your hands and ignore one of the first things they were taught- DON'T USE YOUR THUMBS.

The ones who use too much aftershave and hair-goop and then move in far too close on the comb...

Or who do close moves even though it should be obvious to them that they're making their partner deeply uncomfortable.

Girls who manage to get to the 90% of good men before the rest of us ever meet them- there must be a REASON they're all taken or not interested in women.

People who make you feel small.

Peas. They're just not normal. Nothing can be that small and green and still be right with the world.

A large number of my co-workers.

People who talk loudly in a) the cinema and b) churches-they're NOT museums, however many interesting things there are to see in them- people DO go into them for spiritual reasons and loud conversations are not respectful.

Ah, that feels a LOT better.

It'll be hard to appreciate your pants, t-shirt, flip flops (it was actually a move taught last night in Thornbury), etc., unless you arrange for a glass coffin....

    Cool Re: Room 101

    In room 101:

Definitely any sort of comb that drapes my arm in their sweat

People who keep time by waggling their arm up and down like they are conducting an orchestra

People who grip your hand like their life depended on it

Bouncing...what's that all about? because it doesn't look good!

Oi! Look - I deliberately did not put Chef's Pants, because I knew you'd pick up on it....

    I can't win.

I started wearing them about 5 years ago because...... well it is long story. But it was basically a combination of lazyness (they came out of the tumble dryer without needing ironing - very important because I was dancing six nights a week at that time and hate ironing) and the fact they made me easy to find on a crowded dance floor.

What I find interesting is that Lou comes across enough people wearing them to be able to develop a hatred of them - do tell us Lou.

I used to hate those trousers that had lots of dangly straps on them that would beat you around the legs as the woman spun in the. I also hated the fashion for those belts with lots of stringy and knotted ends that beat you around waist level and get caught in your hands. Thankfully both are now out of fashion.

WTH, my post count is already in double figures so I'm gonna get insulting and chuck St Alban's Thursday class in there too.

(Gadget: I had to stop after only 2 things on my first post, 'cos otherwise the number of things in my Room 101 would have caused sufficient density to create a localised black hole)

    Re: Room 101

People who say "smile" and smile at you as you they are nutters
People who touch my body as though it wasn't part of me
People who swing me about when I'm pre-menstrual and dizzy
People who drop you and fall ontop (yes it happened!)
People whose hands disappear into your clothing

Every one else is okay and dandy
    I like dancing really honest
