Actually it's being held in Weston-Super-Mare. It moved from Bristol to Weston last year.

Ah, that's because I didn' know it had been moved so I would't have known what the western supermare was about and just happened to skip that one. My partner keeps saying it's bristol. Good job Will said something as well otherwise we both would have ended up going to the wrong place!! That would be a nightmare.

Given that I don't have a regular partner and so far have always made an arse of myself in dance competitions owing to my shockingly poor luck in Lucky Dip, I think I'll give the LeRoc comp a miss and wait a while before I go in for another one. But then it is in two months, giving me plenty of time to repair my bruised ego and start thinking "well, maybe THIS time I'll get lucky!" again...

I love this venue - very beautiful and a great floor.

I just hope I get a chance to practice with dale, he is so busy studying I've only danced with him once since the champs. Though maybe my car breaking down had more to do with it. Exams are next week - good luck dale.

Anyone doing the Salsa? I'm thinking about it.

I'll be there,entering intermidiates, although a bit dodgy as its my first proper comp and iv only practiced once with my partner!

Glad its a nice floor to dance on. There's nothing worse than a floor that's too slippy or got ripples in it. It gets me really nervous when competing.

Congrats on winning first place again. Are you going to enter the advanced again or open this time? Me and Stave are.

You two are fab dancers by the way....what do you expect if you've done ballroom anyway?!! That's something i'd like to get into as i find people who bring ballroom into MJ are by far the best dancers.

Well, you've gotta start somewhere and believe me, when you start competing you just get better and better as all you're doing as a competitive dancer is practice practice practice. TIP:watch loads of dance videos and select some eye catching moves and TRY and get as much practice as you can. Best thing to do is to film yourselves as well. Good luck anyway.

I will be even more tempted if I can find a willing partner for the freestyle trophy- but I've been dancing for over a year and don't feel ready to go in for advanced. Do you think they'd let me do intermediate?

Yes loads of ballroom dancing, try it, there's so much to gain from it.....

I'm leaving the category decision totally up to Dale as I don't mind. I will do either Advanced or Open. I have only made two finals in about 12 attempts in the Advanced though, so it's not entirely clear in my own mind which section I belong to. Anyway, it's all up to dale and which section he feels most comfortable in - I've just got my day tickets for now.
