Are we supposed to be guessing/identifying the films as we go along? There are a few quotations I don't recognise or can't work out which film although familiar.
Here's one of my favourites (Trampy not allowed to guess cos he already knows it):
'If you're really us, what number are we thinking of?'
'69, dudes!'
I know, very very silly, but still a scream of a film.

Being the type of egg-head who frequents this thread I have done a little research, and I can't find any references to it prior to The Navy Lark. I am fairly sure that it entered the public consciousness through its use as a catch-phrase on that radio show.Originally Posted by Chicklet

"....there's a passage I got memorized,seems appropriate for this situation: Ezekiel 25:17.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Its not always the dialogue thats the most memorable - who can forget Terry Jones embarrasement when caught 'saying NI at an old woman' or the best double take ever on film with this exchange...
CENTURION: (coming in just before Pilate address the crowd)
Hail Caesar.
BIGGUS:
Hail Thaethar!
CENTURION:
You're not (double take) ah, you're not, uh, thinking o-- of giving it a miss this year, then, sir?
Course now Lou is going to get me for quoting Python again
Yep....one of the two!Originally Posted by Divissima
