Hi folks,
We've had a bunch of questions about the format for the new Jango class, rather than PM everyboby I thought I'd just post up the answers....
- Jango is aimed at beginners and existing dancers alike, who are looking to have a fun evening of dancing, meeting people and socialising.
- You don't need a partner and we're encouraging everyone to rotate as the moves will be fun, sexy and interesting rather than challenging or difficult.
- The music will be more mainstream than the Kenobe T-Jive sets (you'll need to come along to the next T-Jive for one of those ), more like a combination between my Twyford and Hipsters sets, lots for everyone and all very danceable...

Now that Wednesday Hipster's isn't running for a while, this is your only weeknight opportunity to get your hands on Amir!!!
Next Monday 11th we'll be running a sexy, fun and easy 1 hour Jango Intro class for beginners/intermediates with Amir from 8.00 till 9.00pm, and then the Kenobe Dance Experience from 9.00-11.00pm.
Jango on Monday's - a fab relaxed and friendly atmosphere, a great dance floor, comfy lounge sofas, full bar, free parking and close to Hammersmith tube.
I fear that when we mere mortals try to fuse dances, we're more likely to end up with the sensuality of Modern Jive, the freedom of line dance, and the energy of nightclub shuffle... :-(Taking the sensuality of Tango, the attitude of West Coast Swing and the freedom of Modern Jive
Ooops! Sorry!!!
Some folks couldn’t find the venue for Monday Jango. It was called Kent House but is now just known as The Hammersmith Club.
Address: The Hammersmith Club, Rutland Grove, Hammersmith, W6
Map: http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.sr...3&y=178267&z=1
How to find us:
By tube - Hammersmith tube (Piccadilly, District and Hammersmith & City Lines).
5mins walk. Walk up King Street as far as Primark (large shop on your right). Turn left into Bridge Avenue and keep walking straight (you will cross two consecutive pedestrian crossings under the flyover) until you reach a T-junction (close to Hammersmith Bridge) which is Rutland Grove – turn right and The Hammersmith Club (HCS) is on the left, about halfway along through a gateway with black iron gates (with HCS on the gates).
Walk through the HCS carpark to the entrance.
Once inside turn left, though the bar, then through the double doors into the HCS dance hall.
By bus - Buses 283, 72, 33, 419 and 209 stop at the end of Rutland Grove, 50 yards from the venue.
By car - Access is easy from the A4. Head for Barnes but turn right just before crossing Hammersmith Bridge (stay on the Northern side of the river). The Hammersmith Club (HCS) is on the left, about halfway along Rutland Grove, through a gateway with black iron gates (with HCS on the gates). The venue has a car park and there is also plenty of parking in local streets. Once inside turn left, though the bar, then through the double doors into the HCS dance hall.
By tardis – just enter “sexy, fun Jango class” into the Gasmotron keyboard, slip into your diamante zero-G suit, hit the GO Button and you will be whisked off to The Hammersmith Club.
Jango class with Amir @ 8.00pm
The Kenobe Dance Experience 9.00-11.00pm

He tends to play an eclectic mix, the well known along with some stuff other MJ DJs wouldn't touch with a bargepole, but which nevertheless are just fab to dance to. Now all I need is a Tardis so I can do last Monday's class, which I missed
This now rates as the fav night of the week. Will bust a gut to make the class, and the freestyle - well, pretty heavenly.
