Illl be shot for this but although great etc I thought most of the classes I attended were not as good as May. Seem a lack of preperation in a lot of classes.

That date is recognized as her official birthday.

I've never been before so the whole experience was brilliant, had a lot of excellent dances (some from my own "clan" but quite a number from the wonderful "smoothies" down south), everyone was really friendly and the classes I attended were great. The music in all 3 areas was so good, I couldn't make up my mind where to go next!

p.s. My only disappointment was I didn't manage to meet many forumites as I missed the gathering ....hopefully have more opportunity of doing so on Saturday.

Was really enjoying the music last night – but too tired to last the pace (and had to give a lecture at 3pm back in Belfast). Having to sleep at some stage really gets in the way of dancing!Originally Posted by Minnie M
Yes – big thanks to John and Wes.Originally Posted by Minnie M
I found out that one of my students is running a solo dance class at the college - so I ended up doing 1 1/2 hour class this evening... So now I am really tired!Originally Posted by Minnie M
PS - Nice to meet you Minnie
The other NI folk were commenting on that as well.Originally Posted by Dancing Girlie
Thanks, I will do! Don't think I'll be dressing as my avatar though, I've been "appearing" in the outfit so much lately I thought I'd give everyone a break.Originally Posted by drathzel

I had a lovely dance with Dancing Girlie - who appeared from nowhere at around 2.30am on Monday morning. I would like to say that she is a lovely dancer and one of the prettiest girls I saw all weekend - along with all the other prettiest girls I met ...Originally Posted by Dancing Girlie
.. which was, of course, all of them (added hastily before I get into even more trouble)

p.s. There might be a photo posted on here - it isn't me
A follow on from the Southport weekend - us NI dancers enjoyed ourselves so much we decided that if we want to dance, we'll have to do something about it ... so we are having a dance on Wed night!

Am gutted couldn't be there but had an accident the week before, crossing a busy road in London holding on to my children and have done the tendons some damage in my ankle..
And YES it does hurt.....a lot!
So hurry up Lory and wake up and dish the goss.
Hope everybody had a blooming great time!
As already mentioned the Dance Demon played a couple of wonderful sets and also liked Peter Philips effort on the Sunday night.Originally Posted by Gus
I'd also probably echo the sentiments that the teaching was probably not as high a standard as it was in May, although this may have been in part to some of the workshops being massively overcrowded IMHO.
Highlights for me was definately the Sunday night freestyle where there was a bit more space, meeting some of the forumite's who I'd not really met previously, and letting Lory invent new moves on me including the Shampoo and a move which for some reason seemed to involve me getting my nipples twisted
Also some truly marvelous slow dances later on in the night
Too late to stay our of trouble Minnie M tells me I got the wrong "Girlie" my dance at 2.30am on Monday was with Northants Girlie I just heard the "Girlie" bit.Originally Posted by Andy McGregor
