    Wot No Social Events

For reasons too boring to go into, I am using a PC in a library and initially logged on without registering.

When I tried to get into the "Social Events" section of the forum, there only appeared to be one thread, dating from Oct 2002.

Now I didn't want to appear paranoid and think that the whole of the MJ world was having a social whirl but keeping me inthe dark, so I have now logged on as myself and suddenly all the threads are visible. Was it worth the effort? Well .........

But my question is - are the "Social Events" only visible to registered users, and if so what is the reasoning?
