    claims to fame?

Has anyone got any REALLY good claims to fame?

When I was very liccle, my dad worked at Wandworth prison, and mumsy, me and my sister were walking round behind the prison wall whewe lived(nice-huh?), when mum had tostop in her tracks as there was a guy on top of the wall with a shotgun, a big lorry and some men just below him and rope/ladder, he waved mumsy on with the shotgun and didnt say a word,we scuttled off.
It was THE Ronnie Biggs breakout- how exciting-of course I remember NONE of it=-shame!
(oh dear, really showin my age!!)

My mum and dads house has been used in a lot of filming; Disney, Kellogs, Renault etc.

My only claim to fame (or not) is that I was an extra in the dreadful Midsummer Murders series .

I was on the pop idol final in December...

..also had my piercing done in the same tattoo parlour that Billy Conelly has his banjo done...

    Nothing more exciting...

OK - not fame (as no-one knows its me unless they know me if you know what i mean) but I was taking part in a hillwalking week and was filmed walking through a gate at the start of the walk. Now 'library pictures' for the Sperrins area so anytime 'rural tourism' in that area is mentioned that clip appears again.

I would also say that Gary Glitter went to my school(nothing to be proud of these days), DH lawrence taught there for two years (wowie) and one of the stars from the film 'Hellraiser' who also went to my school asked me for snog once.

I think being on pop idols the best so far though........well done Jayne!

I've been an extra on the film 'Spygame' with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt (if you pause it at one point, you can just about make me out in the background ).

I've also been seen dancing on TV several times (in documentaries).

Before dancing, I sang the bass solo at the Cardiff University Christmas Concert (300 in the choir, 100 in the orchestra, 1000 in the audience). And have been on tour with the Welsh National Opera company (in the chorus in 'Tosca').

Dunno if these count really as claims to fame as such. I swam in galas for Cardiff (breastroke & butterfly), and also played rugby at London Welsh (got into the Druids (the 2nd) team there).

this thread is like the one Franck started "Five things most people don't know about you" (the title may not be exact)

My claim to fame (as said in above) was growing up with Jimmy Page (Led Zepplin) - we met up every Saturday and Sunday in the coffee bar called The Casbah in Caledonian Road, Islington - also with us was Dave Such (of Screaming Lord) and a few others that are famous now, in those days they were just kids in a pop group

    --ooOoo--
Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
    Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)

Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
