HUGE congratulations to everyone, fantastic dancing!

I was looking back over last year's posts about The Champs, agreeing with everyone that 2011 had been the best Champs, so far, but wow! 2012 just blew that right out of the water. This year was just fantastic, helped, in no small part, by the sheer number of visitors we had from South of the Border, who added to the atmosphere on the day, cheering on their friends (old and new).
The dancing was great, but mostly I love watching people competing and enjoying it, there were so many huge smiles on the dancefloor and it's infectious. The standard was so good, again, I'm very glad I wasn't judging.
My Thank-yous.........
I need to thank the door crew, who do such a fantastic job, keeping everything moving along and making sure everyone gets the information they need. They volunteer for this, and work such an incredibly long day, I love them all
Obi, Bethany and all of the judges
Franck, cheeky as ever, who remembered his socks this year and keeps the whole show rolling along.
Michael and Nicola, who designed and made the trophies and the medals.
Lorraine, for her fabulous pics, as ever
Chris, Steve, Nicola and Brian for DJ-ing.
The children, dressed as superheroes, finding new ways to entice people to spend an extra pound or two, and all looking so cute.
Pauline, Kayleigh and Nessie with their t-shirts and teddies.
Fitness Fashions who bring shoes - we like shoes
Lesley, from The Teddy Bear Foundation, who was so nervous at having to speak, as it was the first time she'd done it.
The Waffle Boys (as they will always be know now, thanks Lory) I really enjoyed Sunday, thanks to them taking over the cooking, it was fab.
The Travelodge guy, who kept hungry and thirsty dancers well supplied at the APPs.
But mostly, thanks to you, the dancers, you made it a great weekend, from Friday to Sunday, we laughed and then laughed some more and we danced until we were sore, but still happy.
We have over £6,200 to give to the Teddy Bear Foundation and that's just brilliant.
