Hmmm. Nothing on the website! But it will be good to see these events back in The (relative) North again.
Twisted at Watford
Got an email today to say that Twisted will be returning to Watford at the end of January.
Really looking forward to that and can’t wait to see what has been done to, what always seemed to be a fantastic hall anyway.
Just hope I notice when the tickets go on sale!

Watford central travelodge still has rooms for this night at £12.50
Ok, well it's definitely going to happen! Flyers and online promo should come out the end of next week. We've booked the venue and whilst the main ballroom hasn't seen much change other than a bit of refurb and paint it has had automatic extendable seating system put in (which of course doesn't make any difference to us..) They also found some extra floor under the carpet on the sides of the ballroom when they stripped it back which means that we get an extra 50 sqm of dance floor. But the biggest changes have been to the entrance area, the resaturant (which used to be the late night cafe area and 2nd room we used) and addition of a new cafe bar and mezzanine level, which was the result of a new extension to the side of the building. Here are a few pics: The new front of the building, the auditorium with seating extended, the new cafe and entrance area and the newly refurbed restaurant. Nice to see they used Utopia colours in the refurb...

Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
No, we're going to floor what is now the restaurant area and run it as second room with utopia music from 10pm - midnight whilst the uptempo music is going on in the main ballroom and then close it when we Twist at midnight. The new cafe bar, as it is now separate to the restaurant, will then run all night so there won't be such a rush of hungry dancers at midnight as there used to be.
