Sounds like this opinon was correct.
Sorry Dave no it wasn't, I know cos I was there.

There were never 150 people at the Tango milongas, not far short at times, we were amazed at how good they all were, going strong from start to end.
All the good work of Mark, Rachel and Warren, for me it was, along with the
lessons, the highlight of the weekend

Err... so are you agreeing or disagreeing with me? I can't tell.

I guess my point is that the room itself is difficult to lend to AT - there simply aren't enough Tango people at the average Ceroc weekender to make it work well, it's too big. The room allows a couple of hundred people there, it's far bigger than any milonga room in London, and it's unreasonable to expect it to be full - or even half-full - at a Ceroc weekender.

Whereas the little room at Camber, IMO, is ideal for that sort of thing - it's just the right size, which is about 1/4 of the size of the Southport room.

Could these be related by any chance?

All I'll say of the weekend is that I enjoyed getting down with the (s)trumpets

On the tango class with the kicks, this was actually more of an advanced move and is difficult to do correctly even with an advanced follower, Alexandra did say it was mean to be challenging (and it was labelled improver intermediate so it was a bit miss leading)

There were actually quite a few in at times, more than the west coast slots that I noticed in passing, and there is a lot less tango at the other 2 southports.
Personally im all for plenty of space to try interesting things out and its also ideal for beginners to practice in without being too limited/intimidated by crowded dance floors. I would say negrachas is a bit bigger! (Id say camber is a bit small when you have lots of people in there which has happened ocassionally)

My main problem was the tiles on the outside as they tended to trip you up
