It all sounds fab (apart from the pool being in the shade bit )
I think I might look into it for next year

Great review by Carol, and I agree with all of it. I had an amazing time at Medfest, came back exhausted, but happy!
The pool parties were great (only the dancing was shaded, there was plenty of sun over the pools and where the loungers were). Dancers were fab, teachers & DJs were so relaxed, friendly and clearly having a good time (even though we all worked very hard ).
The hotel was gorgeous, dance rooms were perfect, cocktails, wine, cava were perfect and the hotel staff were amazingly helpful.
Thanks to everyone there for a great week!
Franck.
There's an A.P.P. for that!
Shaded pool parties were ideal - I didn't use suncream all week and had just 4"x1" of sunburn (top of the back of my neck, between hat and t-shirt from the walk up the hill).
Get up, swim half a kilometre in the Med, walk the same distance down a beach (to get back), bit of breakfast, maybe a dance class, lazy lunch, pool party, frolic in the pool, quick nap before dinner then party into the night. It's kind of hard to argue.
Only real downside was the accommodation - for some reason they put my friend and I into a top floor apartment, so when the lift broke it was a bit of a trek. Then again, the views were fantastic - pics at https://picasaweb.google.com/1152333...1/MedFest2011# (including views from all five balconies and the upstairs kitchen. I didn't photo the three bathrooms the two of us had to share).
Classes were all excellent - I wont name any specific teachers as that would be a disservice to the others.
