Yes, I saw that. How's that going to work then? Let me rephrase that - what??
Interesting article on BBC News today:

Doesn't say how many students are being put up, but I wonder if that has any knock-on implications for Weekenders at Southport during term time?

Someone get up there and teach them to dance before the October weekender - more people is good, more young fit attractive agile people is excellent
Poor things, if true just imagine living in one of those Ice boxes through winter, brrrr
Ohhh I may be able to get the company to pay for my weekenders at SP then as I have to deal with student accommodation offices around the country
Poor them – It’s got to make any other student accommodation seem like luxury. At least we won’t disturb them when we crawl back to our chalet at 6am, as they are likely to still be up themselves
Is it not possible that this arrangement may only be temporary?
Have you seen what Student accommodation looks likes these days

So... what? I mean, have Pontins gone out of the holiday accommodation business then? I honestly can't see how this will work otherwise.
if its true, sounds like desperation, next step is ...
Does anyone have any idea what percentage of the total number of chalets at Pontins SP is involved in this?
The description of the 'apartments' in the article is hilarious, though I suppose they could be said to have fitted kitchens & private bathrooms! It paints a picture of the students living the high life.
I can't see how it would work for them unless they have their own transport to get to Ormskirk.
