Here is the "Who's Going Where?" thread for the weekend of 13th/14th/15th May 2011.
---------------------------------------------
How it works:
- Suggest events you personally are interested in attending, in the form "Day - Event - Location".
For example: "Sat - Perth Freestyle (Ceroc Scotland) - The Hangar, Perth"- The moderators will put these suggestions into a poll - usually around Tuesday.
Note: The poll may include extra options without event details (usually called "Spare", "Space" etc.) which allow the mods to add events in order after the poll is created - but only if no-one's voted on them. So, please ...er... don't vote on them.- People vote, we can all see who's going where, and the indecisive amongst us can decide where to dance.
Note: no advertising: The forum rules about advertising apply - these polls are not meant to allow organisers / crew / friends to advertise events. The moderators will remove any such posts.

For the 4th weekend in a row there seems to be something on in Rugby, so I'm hoping to be at:
Sat - Rugby Freestyle (Ceroc Passion) - Indian Centre, Rugby
Love dance, will travel
Fri - Ceroc Utopia - Winning Post, Twickenham
Sat - Rocster's Red Carpet Ball - Hove Town Hall

Age is a question of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter
Leroy (Satchel) Paige (1906-1982)
Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, Minnie, made her film debut, along with Mickey, in "Steamboat Willie" on November 18, 1928.
That date is recognized as her official birthday.
The forum was fine, not as good as Berko but certainly a good evening
School last time, music dreadful, uninspiring, bouncy bouncy. When I arrived all I could see was a sea of bouncing grey heads – made Cheshunt look young and hip. Then when he finally played some decent music everyone was queuing out the door literally to get their food. Don’t they buy food at home? It was at that stage I decided to cut my losses and go to Hammersmith, where I had a really good ending to the night.
Other than that it was great
Me, Gav, Trouble and Scarface will be going to;
Top Hat with Toe Tapping and Tea - Waltham Abbey Town Hall - Saturday 2pm -6pm
Includes screening of the vintage 1930's film "Top Hat" and a Lindy Hop Class, Vintage Dress encouraged. Can't wait!
Poll's Up!
Love dance, will travel
I hope I don't bounce but I am grey so partially right.
I always have a good night at Ijig and you've probably already noticed that I'm not a woman lol, but from a man's perspective there appears to be about 10 very very good male dancers that regularly go, making it a good night for the women that get them !
Jon Brett normally has a good spread of tunes across the genres as well as playing some stuff normally confined to a blues room.
I don't think I'm going to make it to Rugby this weekend. Maybe next time.
Bit late, but there is a few of us going to Capital Swing this SUnday evening.
I got dragged down there by friends. Good music, some excellent dancers and a fun evening.
We did feel it was too crowded though - enough to put us off going back. The second room wasn't too bad though, and when the pizza arrived (putting that out of action) the main room cleared enough to actually move.
I'm not good enough to dance on the spot
Still, had fun, don't regret going, no idea whether I saw Maxine/Marcusj while I was there
