Anyone going to this and/or competing ?

2yrs ago I paid but got the wrong day and missed it

This year I will put some tin foil on my head so I don't forget.

Just going for the evening this time, as I'm going to Twisted in Newbury the night before, so can't do everything.

Hopefully I still catch MarkW in the final

    Re: Ceroc Champs

Going to combine a day at the champs with a weekend in London visiting non-dancing friends.

Silly question: Will non-competitors get to dance at all during the day? I think I'd get bored if I could only watch all day

(no, competing is not an option)

    I hope so too

I hear lots of good things about Twisted - really must get there as Newbury isn't so far for me.

Final or not, I'll look for you x

There is usually about 3 rounds of competition then about half hour freestyle interspersed throughout the day. The freestyle increases as the day goes on. I doubt your get bored (exhausted maybe). It’s a great day though.

I'm going along this year too.

Only as a spectator I add, but looking forward to the day.

    Hi,
    Hello there,
We are coming down for the champs (...oh so excited). Was wondering where we can dance the night before. Have looked and looked and don't see any events Ceroc or otherwise. Maybe I'm missing something. Does anyone know of any events? There must be lots of folk coming down the day before in a similar situation.
Twisted looks great but not really practical for a one night round trip.
    cheers.

Not me, now. Logistical problems, including transport contention due to some other event happening in central London this weekend.

It was originally at the Hammersmith Palais, which was sadly pulled down. It's been at the Troxy for the last 3/4 years. Although I don't like the building as much it has the advantage of being just a 10-15 minute drive home for me. There are lots of roads to park in which are single yellow lines; so are fine for Sunday parking.

See you there and at Newbury if you make it

Thanks for asking got to the semi final of lucky dip , if only I had a good partner who knows how far I would have got. lol

Most winners were just numbers called out, prince harry won a dozen, im sure someone will know.

re compare to 5 yrs ago far too many catergories now

Which mean very limited free style

Get rid of top cats, nice idea but because people couldn't be bothered to turn up for next round whats the point.

Pro-am , pointless and showcase just people dancing. No theme or props get rid of it.

Some of the Team Cabaret were good , thought Jive HO should have won they came second

Numbers seem to be getting less each year

With VIP entry etc its seems less inviting to the masses

Of course I would go back

It was unkind of her to say this to you. True, but unkind

We don't have those pop eye's coming on late anymore

Its like snooker without Alex Higgans it just seems a bit flatter (and I use to moan about the antics but now miss it, the irony)

ps what happen to double trouble it was listed but didn't happen ?

I remember that place from my youth

But Ceroc there is before even my time!
