    It's not what you know

Deputy prime minister Nick Clegg says he wants to stop people getting on in life purely because of "who they know".

Proof , it were needed that politicians don't live in the real world

So how many of you, have got a job, because of someone you, or your parents knew

I certainly got my first Job through someone my dad knew. He sold them a car and happened to mention he had a son looking for a job as a photographer

This seem like political correctness gone mad

Surely that is an important social mechanism, for the government to restrict it would be dystopian. The man increasingly sounds like a donkeys arse.

It would be much more effective to make sure that people in power are not allowed to speak without having their thoughts vetted first.

Hmmm, so Nick, how did you become deputy prime minister

Well, I have no special skills and the voters didn't want me, but I'd met this chap in the HoC called David, who said if I gave him some support I could come work with him....

was it not the other way round? He effectively chose the PM by aligning with the Tories (as he would as an ex-Tory). If he had wanted to elevate his position he could have sided with labour , but then we would have Ed whassisname as PM
