Christ... it's so obvious from that photo, isn't it?

Yes, Mr Grumpy. Even I can grasp that this video comes under the heading of "Fun".

Apparently Max Clifford says they met and were lovers at least 9 months before Harry was born.......
Hmm, yes. What that poor boy has had to grow up with - no wonder he's a bit off the rails. And fair play to Prince Charles - as far as I can see he's chosen to rise above this situation and treat him as if there's no question about his parentage. Which does make me think he's had the DNA tested and has made appropriate arrangements.

After all that beautiful weather we've had throughout April, the weather forecast for friday is heavy rain. What a shame! They will be all wet and fed up when they sit down to watch me on the tellly in the evening.

Although, what I'm looking forward to even more than that is what David Lamb makes of it all.

I was watching the BBC news channel last night, and it spent 10 minutes watching a delivery lorry parked outside Westminster Abbey and waiting for it to unload a bunch of ... trees.

Protests in Syria? Civil war in Libya? Nuclear meltdown in Japan? Nah, let's watch a lorry and wait for it to unload a bunch of trees.

Honestly David, you have no sense of occasion.

There's enough doom and gloom going on around the world for us to fret about the rest of the year, surely we're allowed to forget about that for a few days and enjoy the happy event?

I'll assume you haven't erected your tent at Westminster yet?

In 10 years' time, you're going to look back on this enthusiasm and feel really embarassed about how the entire country went loopy. And I know this because this mania is exactly like the Diana funeral obsession that gripped the country in 1997.

I suggest you save yourself that feeling

I'm happy for them. It doesn't mean I have to watch it on telly. And it doesn't mean I think the BBC should spend 10 minutes pointing a camera at a lorry and wait for it to unload some greenery.

You're joking aren't you? In ten years time, I'll still be smarting from the shame and embarrassment of CDWM.

Tell you what freaks me out, people have already started queueing up outside the Abbey. It's Wednesday for Chrissakes, have these people not got lives?

Plus, where do they go... you know...?

    Re: That Wedding

Oh, and whilst I'm on the subject, apparently some stupid Labour MPs (OK, some even-stupider-than-normal Labour MPs) have been whingeing because Blair and Brown were not invited.

shadow justice minister Chris Bryant said he was unhappy with their exclusion.

    ...
"I think the same same proprieties should have been followed as for Charles and Diana's wedding and that was that all former prime ministers should be invited."

Mr Bryant added: "I think it shows a bit of vindictiveness from Number 10."

Former Europe minister Denis MacShane said he had tabled a Parliamentary question, asking what role government officials had played in drawing up the guest list.

"Denigrating Tony Blair and Gordon Brown seems to be an obsession of David Cameron's and I think we need to know if any politician was involved in giving advice to the palace," he told the BBC
    What?

    I mean... what?

For the love of God, can they not watch the bloody thing on telly like the rest of us (or catch it on the news like me)?

It's quite simple really, the invited former Prime Ministers are Knights of the Garter, whilst Brown and Blair are not. They can't have any old peasants coming along after all!

What made me chortle was when it was reported that David Cameron thought that a Royal Wedding only warranted a 'lounge suit', but Boris Johnson showed him up by knowing his protocol and etiquette and making it quite clear that he would be wearing white tie and tails.
    Good on you Boris

I just took a walk down to Parliament Square and it's absolute chaos! Totally gridlocked with people, tents and media. I very nearly bought a novelty hat, but didn't think my client would appreciate me wearing it at our meeting.

Surely you're not implying that the hype has gone into overdrive? I mean, that's a Sign Of Grumpy Grumpiness, if you're not jumping up and down for joy tomorrow morning you're Not Really British, you know.
