Hmm, not sure if the sapphire ring was a good idea, sent a few shivers up and down my spine.
Otherwise, a bit of a jolly to look forward to, at least they seem quite fond of each other. I predict June/July.
Oh I thought it was lovely.
I must say, I'm a bit anxious about the date of their wedding. I mean, if they chose 6th August, the same as mine and Gav's wedding, how will Elton chose which one to go to?
I do think it's lovely though. William is a bit of a bumbling "Tim nice-but-dim" character but I think she's right for him...they clearly love each other very much and everyone loves a bit of romance (except David Bailey, obviously)
Blimey.
Far be it for me to suggest that:
- The whole thing is already a media circus,
- It's a great "bury bad news week" distraction for the government (notice that they also made an embarassing admission of liability regarding compensation payments to Guantanamo detainees yesterday?),
- This will inevitably bring all the DianaGate nutters out of the woodwork again.
I'll just restrain myself to grumbling, and making puns like "it's a good thing they're getting it done before the heir goes"
well since I dont think either would cross the road to speak to me, I'll let the rest of the world bother, a nice quiet walk through Bourne woods on the day of it all sounds like a winner to me
When there's a taffeta wedding dress, with or without creases, to consider all else is as nought.
And your problem is.....? A good story is a good story is a good story. They'll be basing ballets on it in a hundred years time. In a thousand years time minstrels will be singing of the faithless prince, the golden princess and her Saracen swain. In 100,000 years time they'll be talking about restless spirits haunting the underworld caves of Central Transeuropea or wherever.[*]This will inevitably bring all the DianaGate nutters out of the woodwork again.
Let it all out, DB, you know you want to.I'll just restrain myself to grumbling...
Every week is a bad news week David, you could apply that statement to every week this year, in fact. You're just being a cynical old sourpuss.
As for the ring, 80's style is fashionable at the moment so that ring is the ultimate fashion statement for 2010. William's comments about the ring and his reasons for giving it to Kate were really moving, I confess I got all moist around the eye's while watching the interview. I know, I know...I need to get a grip.
It just strikes me as a coincidence that the story which otherwise might get our freedom-loving allies in the USA totally annoyed with us is released at the same time as a story which makes them go all gooey and braindead.
(OK, more gooey and brainded)
If I were paranoid, I might see a conspiracy. As it is, I simply note the coincidence in timing.
Well yeah. Your point is?
You really do.
We've got at least 6 months of this to go through yet.
I hope they are not going to bore us with Prince William's wedding for the next 6 months...!! And we better get a day off...!! :-)
This is actually a FB quote from a very well known Ceroc person, whom I won't mention just yet but do agree with the sentiment.
Oh come on, you lot, I'm not exactly a Royalist but I'm looking forward to a bit of shindig with frills on.
