Where's everyone dancing?
DavidY:
I'm hijacking Northants Girly's thread to make a general festive "Who's Going Where?" thread for Christmas and the New Year.
There's a regular thread here for the weekend of 17th-19th December.
Please put events after this, from 20th Dec 2010 to 3rd Jan 2011, on this thread. I'll then make a poll thread, or possibly more than one poll threads if there are too many events to fit on one.
---------------------------------------------
How it works:
- Suggest events you personally are interested in attending, in the form "Day & Date - Event - Location".
For example: "Fri 31 Dec - Hogmanay Party (Ceroc Scotland) - Perth, The Hangar"- The moderators will put these suggestions into a poll. I thought I might do this next weekend (18th Dec or thereabouts).
Note: The poll may include extra options without event details (usually called "Spare", "Space" etc.) which allow the mods to add events in order after the poll is created - but only if no-one's voted on them. So, please ...er... don't vote on them.- People vote, we can all see who's going where, and the indecisive amongst us can decide where to dance.
Note: no advertising: The forum rules about advertising apply - these polls are not meant to allow organisers / crew / friends to advertise events. The moderators will remove any such posts.

I'd like to go out dancing on NYE but I'd need somewhere family friendly where I could take my children (aged 9, 10 and 14).
Anyone know of anything going on that might suit?
Well last year I went to Hogmanay in Perth, so I might go back there again...
Love dance, will travel
OOOHH will be so good, have already booked, its always a fab night
Hogmanay at The Hanger in Perth for me too
Sara White's at Buckden ... "children are welcome, as are any non-dancers you might want to bring to keep an eye on them! They remain your responsibility throughout the evening, so do make sure you bring along anything they need to keep them amused and ensure they are not disruptive. Child/non-dancer tickets only £5" (I quote from the advertising)
CerocTv with Bill and Becky at Twyford was a great NYE last year, so I would recommend that. We're going to stay in with a bottle of wine and a takeaway having worked NYE for 5 years in a row...
Rock Bottoms NYE dance Bedford
Not many suggestions so far . . .
I'm thinking of going to Hammersmith now. Just found out today that there are 2 rooms (from 10pmish anyway)
Boston USA - Joe & Kath Mahoeys New Years Dancin' Eve
I've just bought my "early bird" Hammersmith ticket
Dance Demon's Hogmanay Ball @ Portobello Town Hall, Edinburgh, Scotland. 8pm - 1am
